Section 1
Before assembling the UNITEC tower
The UNITEC CON-version manufacturer manual begins with a risk assessment, daily checks and maximum working-height information. A competent person must evaluate the work area, ground conditions, obstructions and configuration before erection.
This online overview is a navigation aid, not a substitute for the complete manufacturer assembly instructions.
Section 2
Identify components and connections
The manual illustrates horizontal and diagonal braces, handrail frames, pin clips, adjustable legs, clamps, platforms, outriggers and the related part-code list. Match parts to the actual UNITEC configuration; do not substitute components by appearance.
Section 3
Tower erection sequence
Pages 7–9 of the original 14-page manual illustrate seven numbered erection stages, beginning with base and castor preparation and progressing through bracing, platforms, ladders, guardrails and toe boards. Follow the diagrams and all manufacturer precautions in their original order.
Section 4
Outriggers, base options and narrow towers
The manual separately describes narrow-width towers, outriggers and quick-base alternatives. Required stabilizers and permissible heights depend on the specific assembled configuration; do not generalize from another scaffold system.
Section 5
Inspection, movement and storage
The manual includes wind-speed precautions, safe working loads, transport and cleaning guidance, and a daily inspection checklist on page 12. Stop using equipment when a fault is identified until it has been corrected.
